Rebecca's love of helping people drew her to practice family law.

Rebecca practices mainly in the area of family law.  She specialises in care of children matters, domestic violence, Oranga Tamariki and relationship property. Rebecca has also completed her criminal Duty Solicitor training and has experience in civil law.

Personal Profile:

Rebecca was born in Invercargill but grew up in Dunedin where she studied Law and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in politics) at Otago University.

Doing volunteer work during her studies – at a local Law Centre and a Child, Youth and Family residence – cemented her desire to be a lawyer.  Rebecca enjoys helping people, especially during difficult periods in their lives, and counts it a privilege to earn the trust of her clients.

Prior to moving to Whanganui Rebecca practiced law in Wellington for 3 ½ years representing victims of historic institutional abuse.

In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys yoga, training for a half marathon, cooking (especially South Indian food), reading and quiz nights.
